Madyasa Vijber
Madyasa Vijber (she/her) is an independent midwife, working with a small caseload in Rotterdam (the Netherlands). She is involved in birth activism, especially around the care for marginalised people. She started a collective of Black birthworkers in the Netherlands that is striving to be a community, as well as a movement around radical birthwork focused on reproductive justice. She is interested in social justice, decolonisation, herbalism, history, community building, emergent strategy, abolition, anti-racism and education. You will find her tending to her garden, reading or doing midwifery.
